As a courtesy, Peabody offers some limited space in the BOA Lounge area for post-recital receptions. Reception space is given on a first-come, first-served basis.
Request forms must be handed in to the Concert Office 3 weeks before the recital date.
Reservations may be made for 2 hours, which includes the setup and breakdown of the reception. Students may be asked to share the space with another student. Each student will be provided with a table allocated at the North or South end of the Lounge.
Alcohol is not permitted at recital receptions.
The Concert Office regrets that it does not have the manpower to help parents arrange their child's reception. Students are solely responsible for reserving and arranging their receptions.
Because of the high demand for the BOA Lounge, Preparatory students may request the Lounge only when the Conservatory is not in session.
- You are responsible for leaving the reception space in the clean condition you find it. Please contact Plant Operations (firstname.lastname@example.org) to obtain trash bags for your waste. Do not fill the trashcans in the space, as a reception may follow yours and the maintenance staff will not be available to empty the cans in between receptions. If you move furniture, please move it back to the original set-up before leaving. Please make sure all surfaces are clean as well.
- A $50 cleaning fee will be charged to your student account if it is determined that you have not left the space in a clean condition.
